My First Store Front

I have a lot to say about this topic from my own experience.  It's been my dream to have my own brick and mortar shop.  I've gone about this dream in many different forms.  I started with an etsy shop (www.dressmyroom.etsy.com) to figure out my style and brand.  I created a website (www.dressmyroominteriors.com) to further illustrate my brand and through One Kings Lane I've been able to add vintage furniture to my list of product offerings.  Yet still I want to walk through my own front door.

I spent the month of April brainstorming a way to present my shop at the summer market.  This included researching pop-up shops of established brands.  With money I would be dangerous, without it forced me to be creative.

I'm happy to share these photos with you from start to finish.  It felt good to walk into my own shop - if only for one day!

Special thanks to Mark Ramos for the build, Sophie Horsley for the illustration, and my husband for support, encouragement, helping paint in 94 degree weather, loading, unloading, and serving as photographer at the event.

Thanks you for sharing in my journey!  Believe it or not I'm planning for my next event in September.  More information to some soon.  And yes I will be using the storefront again.
